After years as a competitive athlete, fitness enthusiast, coach, and youth sports director - Alyssa saw just about every example of the gap between preparation and performance. Competitive athletics just aren’t what they used to be. For most kids ages 6-18, there is no real off-season. Here’s the problem: their bodies just aren’t naturally designed for that.

There is a better way. So, she founded Dynamic Performance Training to better prepare athletes to train, compete, and grow. By helping athletes prepare their bodies through coordination training, strength building, stabilization/balance training, speed, quickness, and agility (SAQ), and more - we help them build more injury resistance, better form, and superior performance and give them the competitive edge they need to stand out in the athletic landscape of today. We follow a strict protocol for our athletes, focusing on only utilizing age-appropriate methods that are safe for their young bodies and growth.

Alyssa is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) with a Youth Exercise Specialization. This level of training allows Alyssa to address the unique challenges and motivations of youth athletes to keep them engaged in their training, making it more impactful and effective. One thing we know is that sports are heavily impacted by mindset. Alyssa is also certified in mental toughness through NASM and a certified strength trainer through Gallup, which allows her to tap into her athletes' motivations, mindset, and mental state to get the most out of them.

Working with youth athletes is more than a career; it is a true calling for Alyssa. She is driven by building well-rounded athletes who are strong physically and mentally and grounded in their individuality. No matter where you are in your athletic journey, Alyssa can help. Her experience is broad, as are the athletes she works with - training athletes from your beginner level athlete to middle and high school athletes learning to lift, young athletes recovering from health challenges and/or injury, multiple NCAA Division I, II, and III athletes, and your current Miss North Carolina’s Teen and Miss America’s Teen!
